I

n November 2019 our highly acclaimed CD with Beethoven's "Leonore" was released on the Harmonia Mundi label. The Zurich Sing-Akademie is once again slipping into the role of an opera choir and we are going on tour with the Freiburger Barockorchester - for all those who want to experience this wonderful interpretation live, here’s another opportunity!

Magnificent arias, rousing ensembles, exciting dialogues and emotional choral scenes - René Jacobs brings the early version of Ludwig van Beethoven's only opera very close to the listener. The touching story of Leonore, who dresses up as a man to free her husband Florestan from captivity, is sung, told and performed by a brilliant soloist ensemble.
